Moth+Raven

I’ve always been a bit theatrical. As a kid, I loved to dress up in costumes and “perform” for my friends and family. When I discovered fashion at 14, I realized that I could channel all my dramatic passion into my clothing and my style became my signature. I loved ruffles and florals layed one over the other in descending layers. I couldn’t resist a crinoline peeping out from under a full skirt. Lace accents and embroiderie made me swoon. I loved how these styles made me feel. They gave me confidence through the admiration of my classmates when I showed up in school decked out to the nines.

I was in High School in the late 70s when the exotic boho look was all the rage..prints on prints, headscarves and boots, huge florals and full skirts. It was my favorite time to dress and I had clothes then that I wished I had kept! I would still wear them all now!! So when I saw the first pieces of the Cottagecore aesthetic, I new I would have to dive in head first!

Moth + Raven was conceived from this dream to bring fun clothing to my beautiful town of Blue Hill, Maine. I wanted to create a shop where women like me could find quality, fun apparel to bring color and pattern to our dark world. Fashion can make the world a better place. I truly believe that!
